Each month Microsoft builds a ISO image file package containing all the security updates for Windows monthly patch. This DVD5 ISO image file released on Windows Update on February 9th, 2010. The image does not contain security updates for other Microsoft products.

Panda USB Vaccine is a free utility from Panda Security Research which helps prevent malware infections due to the autorun feature of Windows Operating Systems. USB Vaccine allows users to vaccinate their PCs in order to disable autorun (AUTORUN.INF file) completely so that no program from any USB/CD/DVD drive (regardless of whether they have been previously vaccinated or not) can auto-execute. Once executed the user can choose two types of vaccinations: Computer Vaccination or USB Drive Vaccination. This is a really helpful feature as there is no user friendly and easy way of completely disabling autorun on a Windows PC.

PC Health Optimizer 1.6, by Retina-X Studios, LLC is another software product that works to improve the performance of your PC. This is a package of about twenty or so utilities that are designed to give your system a thorough checkup. I don't have time to go into each function in depth, but I'll try to hit the high points for you. It checks the Windows Registry, your hard drives, memory, and much more. I tested it out on two computers and it worked really well. You can use the various functions individually or there's also an option to do it all with "one click." In addition to PC maintenance PC Health Optimizer also has functions that deal with spyware and viruses. The program seems very solid and works quite well. It's also very intuitive and quite easy-to-use so it's great for both new and experienced users. On top of the things I've already mentioned there's still more. Yep, that's right. It has a really nice parental control function that will let you put some limitations on the teenagers in your life and everyone knows how I feel about that. This is a nice addition to the program and it works quite well. PC Health Optimizer also has a backup function, let's you alter icons, and much more.
